Testing: USB GPS G-Star IV
First off this project is awesome thanks!
I currently have a USB ([Global Sat website1] (http://www.globalsat.com.tw/products-page.php?menu=2&gs_en_product_id=2&gs_en_product_cnt_id=76&img_id=563&product_cnt_folder=4)) G-Star IV^2, it seems to support NEMA output and shows up as /dev/ttyUSB0 in linux/RPI. if I run:
I get NEMA outputs: ( GGA, GSA, GSV, RMC, VTG, GLL v2.2) G-Star IV NEMA info PDF^3 which I see the e ry835ai.go reads in for GPS info
I tried to change the ry835ai.go code (in the pre-built image v0.1r2 ) and recompile it with this line:
but I still was unable to get any GPS info in the pre-built image. I also tried this with a fresh Clone from the GIT ran the make and make install and restarted the rpi and then the device no longer showed up in foreflight . So i went back to the pre-built image. Any advice on compiling or how-to's I tried to follow the guide in Part 1 and solved the makefile/go lang problems (go get) as they came or errors were thrown (I probably totally messed up as I only have a few years with linux and no experience with go).
also where are the log/debug message files I haven't been able to find them in the pre-built image.
Thanks
